AkzoNobel (Booth No. 100) is introducing Biostyle CGP, a hair fixative polymer designed for clear hair gels, spray gels creams, lotions and mousses. This proprietary, patented hybrid polymer is formed by the reaction of NVP and maltodexrin to yield a polymer with more than 50% renewable content. It offers styling performance similar to PVP K-30 and PVP/VA at equivalent cost, enabling formulators to create more natural and sustainable styling products. According to AkzoNobel, Biostyle CGP represents a new way for formulators to create more natural style products while maintaining cost-in-use targets without sacrificing any performance properties.
